Outreach News - 5/31/11

1. The Commission has issued an important waiver to the State of Florida relative to the use of trunking on the 700 MHz Interoperability Channels. This is an important waiver and subject to important conditions that merit the careful review of any licensee considering the use of trunked radio services for Interoperability. In its ruling, the Commission makes reference to a Petition for Rule Making submitted by NPSTC in 2008 and subjects Florida to the potential of changes following review of the NPSTC Petition.
