Outreach News 9/9/2010

1. Each year NPSTC presents an award to one individual in public safety communications who has demonstrated the highest levels of personal and professional conduct and performance in the local, state, and national public safety communications arena. The award was named to honor the achievements of Richard DeMello, one of the founding fathers of NPSTC. NPSTC is grateful to the Radio Club of America (RCA) who hosts and coordinates the presentation of the award. This year the award will be presented in New York City at the Park Central Hotel on November 20th at the RCA awards banquet. NPSTC is also grateful to past sponsors who have supported the Richard DeMello award winners: Jack Daniels Company, EADS North America, Motorola, Douglas Sharp K2AD, and Ericsson, as well as members of the Radio Club of America. In preparation for the 2010 presentation, the RCA is seeking sponsors to provide assistance for the award recipient's travel expenses to the award banquet. As in the past, there may be more than one sponsor providing funds.

If your organization is in a position to provide support, please contact Karen Clark via email, Karen@radioclubofAmerica.org , or calling 303-948-4921. The Radio Club of America's mailing address is: P. O. Box 621074, Littleton, CO 80162-1074.
