Help Wanted

1. The FCC delegated authority to the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (“Bureau”) to establish advisory bodies and select appropriate representatives from federal agencies, the public safety community, and industry to advise the Emergency Response Interoperability Center or “ERIC”. Until a formal Federal Advisory Committee can be established to serve as the primary advisory body to ERIC, the Bureau is establishing an intergovernmental Technical Advisory Committee (Committee) to assist ERIC in carrying out its mission. Accordingly, the Bureau seeks nominations for the Committee responsible for making recommendations to the Commission and ERIC regarding the development of policies and rules concerning the technical aspects of interoperability, governance, authentication, encryption, national gateway functions and interfaces, and national standards for a common set of public safety applications.
